A MOMENT IN DUBAI

As some of you who watch my vlog channel or follow me on Instagram may know, I recently enjoyed a short winter getaway to Dubai with my husband and what an experience we had! We took an over-night flight which turned out to be a great idea as I slept most the way, so when we landed I was feeling nice and refreshed!

First off we stayed at the stunning Ritz Carlton DIFC, situated in the financial and business region of the city. Our suite was HUGE, with a spacious lounge area, table, huge bathroom and bedroom. I don’t think I have ever had a hotel suite as big before! The roof-top pool was another high-light of our stay there, as it was the perfect spot to cool off and relax at. I make no secret of the fact that food and dining is one of my great pleasures in life, and dinner at Café Belge, located in the hotel did not disappoint. We both opted for Seabass which is another favourite of mine, and the melted chocolate and ice cream desert was to die for!!

On our first full day, we had arranged to take an airplane tour of the city with Seawings Seaplane Tours, which gave us amazing views of the skyline, the coast line and all the landmarks of Dubai. It lasted around 40 minutes, and although I felt a little queasy as I have a slight fear of heights I overcame this and ended up enjoying the views.

On the following day we also enjoyed a desert Safari experience with Arabian Adventures, which included a crazy drive over the sand dunes in the 4×4, a camel ride, and a private romantic dinner in the desert under the stars. This was definitely a highlight as the food, the amazing stars, and silent desert was something I have never experienced.

We also stayed at the Other Ritz Carlton hotel located at Jumeirah Beach which was just as impressive as the hotel in DIFC , however with more of a holiday beach type of atmosphere given its location.  The interiors and grounds of the hotel and rooms again was stunning, again he food at the Palm Grill restaurant was delicious, (I wanted to pack some up to bring back with me!)  and all round it felt like a truly luxury experience.

We dined out at the renowned Thiptara Thai Restaurant on our final night, which was another unforgettable experience. Thai food has always been a favourite of ours, and this place did not disappoint. The female head chef came out for a chat which was lovely, and the views over the stunning fountain displays and Burj Khalifa made the dinner even more special. We felt truly spoilt!

We came home feeling refreshed, well fed and relaxed, and would definitely put Dubai on our list of places to go back to. xx
